Zong Longshen (宗 龍神, Sō Ryūshin; "Ryushin So")^[note] is a kung-fu practitioner who participated in the Rokushin Kaikan Tournament.

Zong is a powerful looking individual with a confident expression and light hair swept over to the right.

He appears to be a confident person, reassured of his own abilities.

Plot

In his first round fight against Akanishi Tsutomu, Zong proved his dominance by effortlessly parrying Akanishi's strikes, before blinding him and instantly putting the karateka in a joint lock, leading to his victory.

Power & Abilities

Having inherited Zong Tangzhen's strongest genes and his martial art, Paolin Kung-Fu, Zong Longshen is a powerful kung-fu practitioner with notable fighting skill. He was able to effortlessly block the strikes of a renowned karateka whilst simultaneously striking a few of his acupuncture points, all with only his left hand.

Paolin Kung-Fu (砲林寺拳法, Pàolín-sì Kenpō): A Chinese martial arts school founded in 1947 by an unprecedented martial arts genius called Zong TangzhenKanji: 宗 堂珍 (ぞう どうちん)
Romaji: Sō Dōchin (Zōng Tángzhēn). Its hard techniques (strikes) could blow through anything like a cannon and its soft techniques (joint locks) could envelop anything like a forest; it is a martial art where hard and soft are unified. Kureishi Mitsuyo noted that he was able to perform joint locks so fast it was like flowing water.

Etymology

• Zong means "sect, ancestor, clan, school, purpose, faction, principal aim, great master, model, measure word for goods" (宗).
• Longshen means "dragon god" (龍神).

Notes & Trivia

• Despite his name being read in-universe as "Sō Ryūshin", his name would be read as "Zōng Lóngshén" in Chinese, befitting his Chinese martial art.
