Wu Xing (
Appearance[]
Wu Xing is a handsome tall young man with an athletic physique, blonde medium-length hair styled into a bob cut, thin eyebrows and black-sclera eyes of the Wu Clan.
He wears a white changshan and a pair of white pants. His first appearance also had him wearing a mask, which he took off soon after.
Personality[]
Xing is a level-headed and serious individual. He's not above showing disdain for the likes of traitors, such as Alan Wu.
Xing is on friendly terms with Kure Erioh, the patriarch of the Kure Clan. Conversely, he bares a hatred for Edward Wu, who is responsible for killing Xing's mentor.
Plot[]
During the Kengan Association VS Purgatory Tournament, Xing watched the match between Kanoh Agito and Lu Tian with Kure Erioh and discussed on Lu Tian's unexpected usage of the Guihun technique.
Before the match between Alan and Kure Raian, Xing expressed his disdain for the traitor. After Raian slaughtered Alan, Xing left with Erioh as they prepared to take down Edward, in spite of Nogi Hideki's protests.
With Edward, alongside Solomon Wu and Fabio Wu, fighting off Raian with little difficulty, Erioh and Xing arrived to even the odds, with Xing swearing to avenge his beloved. Despite their combined efforts, Xing and Erioh weren't able to take down Edward, while Raian was preoccupied with Solomon.
Power & Abilities[]
Xing is a powerful combatant as the head of the Wu Clan, with his speciality being traditional Chinese weaponry and utilising them in powerful surprise attacks both in assassination and battle. Known instances of these tactics include breathing fire out of his mouth and spitting needles, as well as using a shortened guandao that has a cable attached similar to a rope dart in melee combat. But despite using weapons, he was easily overwhelmed by Edward Wu, albeit relatively unharmed. During his fight with Edward Wu he was able to effectively coordinate attacks with Erioh as well as Raian.
Despite being primarily seen using weapons Xing is also incredibly proficient in hand to hand combat, being able to best Solomon Wu with relative ease. As the head, he's also knowledgeable in many of the Wu Clan's techniques, even the forbidden ones.
Guihun[]
As a member of the Wu Clan, Xing is able to release his latent power and free his body from his brain limits, thus using the technique called Guihun, the other name of the Removal. Xing's Guihun release rate is 100%, befitting the head of the Wu Clan.
Etymology[]
- Xing means "star, satellite, bit, particle, small amount" (星).
Trivia[]
- With the way Wu Xing's epithet in the original Japanese text is written, it's implied that it can also be read as Mènghuàn Dǎoshì (lit. "Fantasy Guide"), the Chinese pronounciation.
