Tatsuyoshi is an incredibly imposing dark-skinned individual, with a dense heavyset frame, cropped hair, broad facial features and his most distinguishing feature: his black sclera'd eyes. He almost always has an intimidatingly indifferent facial expression.

Personality[]

Katsuya appears to be a very taciturn individual rarely speaking much.

Plot[]

Power & Abilities[]

Tatsuyoshi is one of the strongest person in Kenganverse, if not the strongest. An extremely powerful Rokushin Kaikan karateka, who ended up winning the Rokushin Kaikan Tournament relatively comfortably; in his five matches, the only opponent he actually applied any effort against was Koyasu Shingoro, who actually fought against him as an equal. Tatsuyoshi is physically very durable and resilient, being able to effortlessly tank blows from opponents as strong as Hayakuwa Samato without so much as flinching, and also remarkably strong due to his body, being able to knock out most opponents, even someone as strong as Ikeuchi Mentaro or Hayakuwa Samato with a single strike, Tatsuyoshi can easily squashed Motoyama Jin, who is capable of defeat Muto Shinya, one of 3 strongest karateka of Rokushin Kaikan, like a fly. This means he can likely lift 3-5 tons.

Technique(s)[]

  • Buddha's Palm (菩薩掌, Bosatsushō):[2] Tatsuyoshi strikes with an overwhelmingly strong palm strike.
  • Hammer of Myo'o (明王の鐵槌, Myō'ō no Tettsui):[2] Tatsuyoshi's strongest technique where he strikes his opponent with two overhand hammerfists.

Etymology[]

  • Tatsuyoshi means "dragon" (辰) (tatsu) and "lucky, good" (吉) (yoshi).
  • Katsuya means "victory" (勝) (katsu) and "to be, also" (也) (ya).

Notes & Trivia[]

  • He has a wife.
  • When asked how far Tatsuyoshi would get in Kengan Ashura, Sandrovich replied that he would get to the finals.[3]
    • He further mentioned that while Tatsuyoshi is the strongest, he is not unbeatable (if you take into account factors like mental status, fatigue, if they have weapons, location etc).[4]
