Supernovas

Supernovas (超 (スーパ) 新 (ーノ) 星 (ヴァ) , Sūpānovua) is a term coined to refer to the five biggest rising stars in both the Kengan Association and Purgatory after the merger.

The Supernovas have experience in both Kengan battles and Purgatory battles. They are often compared to the "Legends", referring to the fighters who were part of the most recent Kengan Annihilation Tournament.

The following characters are recognised as Supernovas:

• "The Fist Eye", Narushima Koga
• "The God of Saigon", Nam Nhat
• "The Miracle of Sao Paulo", Leonardo Silva
• "The Mighty Monk", Onoda Ikkai
• "Godspeed", Kim Jang-Gi

History

The term "Supernova" is first introduced in Chapter 149.

The Supernovas participate in the Berserker Bowl, a joint tournament project between the Kengan Association and Purgatory. Before the tournament, they meet up for a toast and to discuss about the tournament. They appear to be close friends with each other.
