Appearing Characters[]

Summary[]

Rihito promises Sawada that he will avenge him, despite Sawada specifying he doesn't want Rihito to fight for him. Later, Cosmo and Adam converse over dinner. Cosmo and Adam promise to have a rematch soon. Cosmo is still suffering the repercussions of his battle with Adam and needs painkillers to cope.

Saw Paing Yoroizuka, representing Village of Dawn is unable to wait for his match the next day. Gaolang is determined to win, finding Saw's enthusiasm to be futile. Meanwhile Rino and Rei lounge by the pools, Tomari finds Rino to be too relaxed. Tomari affirms her confidence in her fighter, Muteba. Rino makes an advance on Tomari, saying no one will destroy Rei. Tomari rejects Rino's attempt at being "friends", as Rino explained she likes women as much as men.

Karla and Elena have become friends, despite Raian being responsible for Mokichi's hospitalization. Erioh watches over Karla from above, declaring he has murderous intentions toward anyone man that gets close to his granddaughter, which so happens to be Ohma.

Ohma mentally fights a range of opponents as an out-of-body training method he used from the young age of 14. He has at least eight matches per rest, every time he rests. Niko invades this dream, stating he is Ohma's next opponent. He emphasizes that Ohma knows too little about the way his opponents fight to draw anything real from it. He reminds Ohma that his techniques have not improved, stating the fundamentals that he may have forgotten over time and that he must master all the katas. He explains that using advance against stronger opponents is not its purpose and will inevitably kill Ohma. Ohma awakens from his dream yelling, shocking Kazuo and Kaede before him. His nose bleeds profusely, hinting at extreme internal damage.

Ohma is throwing up blood and bleeding from other orifices on his face, likely due to his overuse of Advance. All that matters to Ohma is that he survives long enough to kill Kiryu. He has no drive otherwise or concern for his own physical well-being.

Karla raves about Ohma to Elena, but bumps into Kiryu in the hallway. Kiryu comments that he doesn't blame Karla for her infatuation with Ohma. Karla is disturbed that she was unable to sense Kiryu's presence, unlike anyone she has met before. She wonders if he is even alive. Kiryu is determined to make Ohma his.

Anime and Manga Discrepancies[]

  • Nikaido's brief introduction regarding the Heavenly Wolves is omitted.
  • The first round of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament is split over the course of two days whereas the entire round occurs over the span of a single day in the manga.
  • During Ohma's image training in his dream, the part where Niko informs him he wasn't the one who taught him the Advance is omitted.
