Berserker Bowl

The Berserker Bowl (戦 (せん) 鬼 (き) 杯 (はい) , Senki-hai; lit. "War Demon Cup") is a joint venture between the Kengan Association and Purgatory. The aim of the tournament is to demonstrate the two organizations' combined defiance in the face of Worm. Kengan Association Chairman Nogi Hideki is directly in charge of organizing the tournament.

Due to the rumors of an upcoming Kengan Annihilation Tournament, many powerful & well known fighters decided not to enter in the Berserker Bowl. A select number of strong fighters from both organizations still decided to participate, likely interested in the ¥50,000,000 cash prize awarded to the tournament winner.

Preliminaries

The preliminaries began with a total of 32 fighters separated into eight pools of four. Each entrant must fight one match every two weeks, with a minimum duration of at least four weeks necessary to determine the winners. Those with the highest score in their individual pools will move onto the tournament proper, which will consist of 8 total fighters. The matches are all contested under the Kengan Association ruleset, with no ring outs or knockdowns.

Championships

The Berserker Bowl championships take place 100 meters beneath the historical Kanda Shrine in an underground Purgatory colosseum known as "The Core". The subterranean complex was originally a nuclear fallout shelter constructed during the Cold War before Toyoda Idemitsu purchased it from the Japanese government. In addition to regular Kengan Association rules, Purgatory's ring out rule is in effect. A drawing was conducted in which the fighters randomly selected their place in the tournament. Unbeknownst to anyone in attendance, The Connector Shen Wulong, the supreme leader of Worm, decided to spectate the championship fights in person.
